You need to finish the game and get all 5 endings with a pilot and save. Now load the file, which will be called a S-File option. Start S-File to begin the simulator.
Extra Mission:
You can unlock an extra mission if you can get a rank of B or above in all of the 35 missions
XR-900 Geopelia Plane:
If you get a rank of A in the mission simulator for extra mission you will get this plane
New Planes and Weapons:
If you bat all thirty-six Mission Simulator stages with the rank of "A" you will unlock the Orbital Satellite Laser, X-49 Night Raven and the U14054 Aurora plane.
